Multiwinia
« on: October 13, 2008, 10:18:55 am »

Multiwinia is a unique strategy game by Introversion.
In it, you basically tell little 2D "people" where to go and attack, although  there are some more advanced features.
The probem with it is that, despite an unusually high rate of demo players purchasing the full version, almost nobody plays the demo.
Read more here.
Play the demo.

Personally I don't know... I am kinda sad that this game may very well overshadow the original game of Darwinia

It doesn't work on my computer, but anyways...

What are the limitations of the demo?
Are some features disabled, or are you on a timer?

You only get a few scenarios and you can only play against the CPU.

Multiwinia just seems to be an extension of Darwinia, which, while being an enormously original game concept, was not interesting to me. It may just be the game style (Not much love for RTS's) but I really prefered Uplink much more then Darwinia. A multiplayer Uplink would rock my socks (Maybe it'd have the ability to write your own programs using a scripting language inside the game? That'd be neat.)

The demo is limited maps, limited game modes, and only against computer players, BUT they are planning to allow connecting to LAN games made by people with the full game.
Other than that, it is the full game.
