We need a More better World Painter!
« on: October 06, 2008, 02:53:08 pm »

We have the Dwarf Heightmap program, which isn't bad. But what would be great is a way to paint more sophisticated world maps and do things like weather terrain easily. Does anyone know of a greyscale height editor that would work for this?

"more better"?  Come on PTTG, I thought you were better than this.
You don't need that more.  "We need a better world painter!"
And uh, what about the ingame painter?

Sorry, my lolcat got on the keyboard.

Ahem... My point was, while there is a workable in-game world painter, it is lacking in a few areas, notibly an "Add" and "subtract" mode in addition to the current "Set" mode. Other nice features would be the ability to weather and erode areas with a brush and have a pallet of preset climates. I was wondering if anyone knew of a greyscale height editor along those lines. If you lets me know, you can has chezeburg- GETTOFF, CAT!
