Last spring, my crazy queen stuck a steel battle axe in the elf diplomat's arm, so he left unhappy - fair enough. But the elf diplomat just arrived again, still with the axe in his arm (though his arm wasn't wounded in any way any more), and unhappily left straight away.

That's... a weird one.  But logical.  Since a stuck-in weapon becomes part of a creature's inventory, a DF can track objects for important figures now, I guess it kept the axe right were it was.  I guess the root of the bug would either be that he's threatened/upset by a pre-existing stuck-in, or that a stuck-in object isn't removed.

Got to admit, it is pretty funny.  What a truly awesome way to send an elf packing with a memento.
"Blast it, this old thing hurts.  I know we're against spilling blood and all, but reopening a wound?  Where did this axe come from anyway?"

"Oh, that's right.  Well, see if you get any of our wood and berries.  I say good day!"

Just read your post in the other thread.  That's... bizarre that your queen attacked the diplomat.  Maybe she was an enemy of the elven civ or something?
