Ideas for the zefie mod.

I'm (still) working on a modification to allow the ver fun zefies to played in DF. I've come up with a couple of interesting game changes, but I'm wondering if anyone could come up with anything else.

Right now, here are the major changes
Zefies are different than Dwarves (size, body, ect.)
Alchol is not needed, Wine is replaced by Vodka while Root Beer is added.
Abilty to make extra large bolt stacks (at the cost of addtional metal)
Abiltiy to mass-produce javlins (wooden spears).

I think that I wuold only need one more thing to make it 'comlete' vut I can't think of any game changing mechanic. Any suggestions, oh great and powerful mooders?

I believe I recall the Zefies from the second battle of the gods thread.

Fraid I can't think of anything unique though.  Maybe new traps or prepared foods?  Those are sometimes overlooked.

EDIT: I think I remember them being sorta high tech(though they hadn't brought anything like that into the game) perhaps the ability to make gunpowder out of ores to be used in a custom gunlike weapon.  Bullets are made via the smelter using gunpowder and something else(lead?). 

I think you can do that by giving the race ability to make the gun but not the bullet in the entity raws.  Just have the smelter in fort mode the only way to make the bullets.

I  hadn't thought of that, actually/ Making a zefie style laser cannon by using some sort of gem. Hmmmm . . .

I remember that in BotG2 you mentioned something about the zefies using special crystals/gems for a powersource. You could mod in that gem, it would be made by combining rare gems and metals and such, then use it to make the laser's ammunition.
