I started a fortress with around 100 dwarves and then abandoned it. Later, I returned with my adventurer and managed to find some of these dwarves - a few of the soldiers were willing to come with me, so I recruited them and headed out into the wilderness.

Imagine my surprise when the marksdwarf gave birth in the middle of a cave! But what's worse is she didn't seek the infant! What an awful mother!

In any case, I don't think this is supposed to happen (if it is, I apologize), but nonetheless, it's still humorous. I considered coming back to the cave later to see if the child had grown up and was still there. I'll post a copy of my world (post-birth).
