Notes on Levers.

I think there may be something in the Eternal Voting Page about seeing connections between mechanisms, so this may just be an addendum. Display a name and/or shortcut link to objects a lever is linked to.

You can set notes wherever you want now.

But can't read them without directly looking for them, which is fine for identifying levers.

Sounds more like we need a short tutorial on using notes. :)

The original poster is correct, it's silly for levers to not list the things they connect too.  This is a frequently requested feature and should be added to the suggestions list (I'm surprised its not their already, perhapses its subsumed under improved Mechanisms?, check their before adding it).

Notes are obvious a catch-all game mechanism to help the player with unpredictable and unique situations, but their existence is in no way an argument not to include Lever-link information. 

I'm constantly noticing when ever someone posts a useful and obvious UI or game control idea someone will say "We already have that just... (proceeds to explain exceeding complex, unreliable and non-obvious technique he devised to get the desired control)".  Now I'm all for helping others by telling them about techniques that can make their game play easier but 90% of the time (this being one of them) even if not intended (this might be the case here) it comes off sounding like a shoot down of the suggestion especially when you don't explicitly state if you like/dislike the idea (again this is a prime example).

Lever identification is easier now that we can place notes. But do you know what I want to see?

The ability to DISCONNECT levers from things. As in, actually removing the damn mechanisms from the lever and from the connected device, without having to disassemble either.
