Give a happy thought when a relative immigrates
« on: March 19, 2012, 09:41:19 pm »

In 0.34.x, you can now have (and will, if any are available) dwarves from world-gen show up at your fort. A lot of these come from large, extended families (especially if you let world-gen run for a while).

I think it would be neat if your dwarves got a happy thought if someone that they are closely related to immigrates to your fortress.

Just something along the lines of "Urist McDwarf is glad that he will be able to see his father more often now." Or maybe a generic "is glad he will be able to see a family member more often now."

This sounds nice. Kind of warm & fuzzy, too.

"How's my favorite nephew doing?"

"But uncle Urist, I'm standing right here..."

"My other favorite nephew."
