Children following their parents around can be a huge problem, especially when those parents need to work, and even more so if they're in the military. I propose an option to build either a building or a zone where children would congregate. Nursery workers could be a new profession, and they could help teach children important skills before they grow up.

This has been suggested... many times before...

Anyhow as I said why not just have it so other relatives take care of the children? Those have been historically speaking much more popular then a nursery (though a Crichette, if I could spell it correctly, is something new to me).

I mean why not ship children off to their grandparents? Or let their father take care of them? Or simply orphan them?

I believe the term you want, Neonivek, is "creche".

In any event, children following parents around is not generally a huge issue except for when the parents are military.

It can also be a problem for miners working in unsafe conditions, and if you had a hunter who managed to have a child somehow (maybe she had a more sociable job and was reassigned after she got married) it would almost certainly be a disaster.

Parents never seeing their children should make them sorely unhappy though. It needs to be fairly sophisticated, otherwise they just turn into robots
