GET OFF YOUR LAZY DWARVEN BUTTS!

So the first caravan arrived in Forestdemon today, and so I began to order everyone to bring the crafts to the depot while I had the leader speak with the liason.
Conversations went smoothly, and then after the liason is ready to leave:
My broker takes a break. He's been taking a break for an in game month now.
What do I do?

Just darft him in the military then undraft him. That should take care of the break.

Traders hate trading. Sometimes you need to disable *all* their jobs so the only thing left for them is to trade. Even then they will find any excuse not to.

my trader gets always stone detailing, bookkeeper, animal training and caretaking. bookkeeping should be legendary for highest precision before first caravan arrives, animal training is just a thing then a puppy grows up so i simply deactie stone detailing and here we go... btw all hauling jobs deaktiveted except cleaning

I just let anyone trade. Usually they DO have enough skill. Even if they don't, I just give them a ton of useless crap.

I always have my trader to be my bookkeeper, mayor, and expedition leader along with a master miner.

by the way, the easiest way to get your guy to start trading is to turn OFF and ON the 'request trade' thing in the depot. It usually resets the trader's status and he goes over to trade. This is particularly useful if he's in a meeting; he will immediately cancel the meeting to go trade.
