war, overtaken towns and retired chars
« on: August 31, 2008, 11:58:09 am »

hey there, i today started in a world there the dwarfs are at war with some leves and even caputred a forest retreat. now there are only living elves, if you make a dwarf you may start in this retreat.

but now the odd part: if you retire a char there and come along with another, the retired dwarf will engage the elves, even they are now in the own civilisation (the new leader of the town is a elf himself and killed about 30 elves)

From "Angroshs Kinder" Das schwarze Auge Zwergenhandbuch - (Angrosh Children, the dark eye, german pen&paper, dwarven handbook):
"Elves!? Their men dont wear beards, and their women bathe nacked to lure you into the water and drown you. Thank Angrosh they are as ugly as the day and all big and skinny."

well im a bit of a noob on this sort of thing but what i think happened is that you are a part of there civ when you start a dwarf. but when you retire him he somehow isnt and attacks the elves. as for the problem with the leader i think its because hes still somehow loyal to the elf civ even though averyone else turned so he attacks random people.

Elves are strange ccreatures, I one time seen a supposive elven forest retreat that was built like a human city, under the human civ, but was populated only by elven shopkeepers, no mayor house or anything.

The elves being killed are probably refugees from the elf civ.

Or maybe they have religious issues.

I think it might be possible that by retiring as a peasent in that treehome, that adventurer has joined the conquered elf civilization. So when you visited, he began engaging the folks from the conquering side who lived there.

You ought to be able to tell by taking a careful look at the legends info.

they even started in this treehome, i just made char and retriered, made another and retriered and my third was the one i actually wanted to play with started in the dwarfen home, so i run up and as soon as i was zoomed in from travel map every step i did an elf died
