Dtil and tile editting
« on: September 04, 2008, 12:07:18 am »

I see that Dtil has a plugin for modifying game tiles but exploration thereof yields nothing that I can understand.  Can I use this tool to add sand to my map?  If so, how do I go about doing this?

The easiest way to get a sand without any utility is to add a [SOIL_SAND] in ../raw/objects/matgloss_stone_soil.txt into one of your soil types which are present at your site.

Confirmed that this works after both world gen and embark. I think it bugs out badly if you remove [SOIL_SAND] after you've saved with it in, however.
