pouring water on lava problem...
« on: September 01, 2008, 12:11:09 am »

I set up a pit above the lava(it gos down 4z levels) and had a dwarf pour some water on it, I was thinking it would sink/fall to the bottom, tho it did not. I think it is floating, I was wondering,  can the obsidian be connected to the nearby obsidian diagonally? Or is the lava to dense for it to sink(Its made with a 1 water, from a bucket 1zlevel above the lava.)   :-\  Or is this some unintended/intended thing...  ???

The water you poured on the magma formed an obsidan roof. So, pouring more water will result in the hole filling up with water.

And thus did the dream of dwarven antigravity fade away, not with a massive explosion or a flood of magma, but with a whimper.

I'm going to be depressed all day now.
