So whats with the bowmen i've been fighting that just say bowman, but flash like the're legendary in something, is that just some legendary crafts elf who decided he would join the archers in the military, or much more unlikely someone who has legendary armor user. Did i kill them with their own bow for nothing more than delicious irony.

Master Bowmen don't flash, they're just a lighter shade of green. Bowmen (or even rangers/animal trainers/jewelers/etc.) will flash if they've managed to kill a semimegabeast or megabeast (in worldgen or otherwise.) I think it might apply to killing named animals too, i'm not sure.

Oh, wait, yeah, what Neoskel said. They'll also flash if they're a site leader or civilization leader. And they'll start flashing if they kill an adventurer, too, from what I've seen. Sorry for the misinformation on my part.

EDIT: just wanted to let people know what i was trying to show was that this guy had several elf leather earings and an elf bone ring
i killed him and wear them now
