What to do with a legendary peasant?
« on: August 25, 2008, 11:22:41 am »

I had a child go through a strange mood and become legendary. When he grew up however, he did not have a crafting skill that I could see, and he flashes as a legendary peasant.

I really like this dwarf and I'd sure hate for him to get killed. I'm trying to think of how I can best use him. I would guess he's immune to punishment, even though he's unskilled.

he has no skill, but he must have good stats. draft him into the military, or make him an hunter.

You sure he doesn't have a crafting skill?

I had a similar "legendary peasant" who'd also had his mood while still a child.  He did have a craft (I forget what it was though) and drafting him into the military and then back into civilian life quickly had him showing correctly as a legendary whatever-he-was.

It may work for you, too.  Worth a shot, anyway.

When looking at the skill list press + on the keypad to scroll down.  (sorry if you already knew about this, just trying to help out not insult your intelligence  :P)

Hey, you're right. His legendary skill was just off the page of skills. He's a stonecrafter yawwwn.  ;D Hunter eh? that's sounds great, although he's bound to get killed I guess upon the first goblin marksdwarf ambush. They're pretty regular at this point.

eh legendary hauler?  I always like to use idle legendaries as haulers... They go really fast (agile + strength when carrying heavy stuff)

Heh... Just leave him as the Hauler's Union president. Give him a nice office and quarters, so he can meet with all the other higher-ups and discuss pay rates.

Legendary stonecrafter? Excellent. Set him to work turning heavy, useless stone into light, tradeable stone crafts. 8)
