Animals adopting dwarves

Stray cat (Tame) has adopted Inod Lorsithdodok, Farmer.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Speaking of pet cats...

I have 78 non-trained animals. 10 of them are visible in the animal screen. That means I have 68 cats! They are all tame, of course. During the first two or three years, most of the cats that adopted dwarves all chose a certian fisherdwarf. Since the dwarf (curiously enough, also named Inod) changed fishing into weaving and clothesmaking, she has had less time for cats, but I still get a "a stray cat/kitten has adopted Inod xyz" message every now and then. She has dozens of personal cats by now! Also, from the very first 3-5 cats I had in the beginning, at least one had adopted her.

Cats seem to have a big preference for fisherdwarves which is understandable i suppose

Speaking of this, I was thinking the other day that people who already have pets should be weighted way less than other dwarves when picking an adopter.  When my hunting dog has puppies, I feel sorry for all of the other dwarves who don't have a chance to claim a puppy because my dog-lover wants a fifth.

The dwarves (or cat) pick when they have a free moment and so on, but that kind of thing could be added by making dwarves that own pets less likely to add another.  I think right now they just keep stacking them up to the cap.  Although dwarves hoard, I wonder if animals should be included under that umbrella.
