yea where have they gone? all i ever get is warriors and i don't last too long as an adventurer anyhow so i want some drunken friends. please, i need my drunken friends!

POWs from worldgen wars won't hesitate to join you. Try looking in goblin towers.

Also, if you retire an adventurer in a town, you can go back and recruit them as a later adventurer. If you have the patience to make a lot of them in one town and then go out and find them, you can raise a small army with this method.
