[40c] Odd townspeople behavior

This may not be a bug, but I started a new adventure in a town where my last adventurer had killed the town's mayor.

After my new adventurer talked to the new mayor the children of the town all started fighting the adults. Not ten minutes later nearly everyone in the town was dead.

"The Shopkeeper strangles the Child's throat", etc.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Bug.

It's been around for some time I believe, though my favorite way of doing it was with DF Companion. Great entertainment.

And not ten minutes later, I am dead as well. I guess they didn't want me picking up the socks of their dead.

That's DF for you. One second everything is fine then some guy throws a tantrum, gets lit on fire and murders the entire fortress.
