I feel like a genius.

After somehow blowing up a tree with a spell, I wanted to get a nice pair of bark pants and I found something I completely didn't suspect... I found out that there are actually other weapons in Armok 1 :o (Specifically a sword and a hatchet)

Now I want to see if I can find a town <_<;;.

I have heard that there were towns but they were removed temporarily and weren't back in by the last release...

You can make them by using a tree's materials.

Slaves To Armok: God of Blood has some pretty wicked features

I wonder why Slaves to Armok Chapter 2: Dwarf Fortress doesn't have some of them... *blinks*

Because it was started as a separate project and Toady did way too much with no use in armok, adding all these little features when the big features weren't done.
The result was something very hard to work on, and the 3D section wasn't helping.

Hopefully DF won't take the same route, although that shouldn't happen for a few years and even then the probability is very low.

All that can be found in the interviews and stuff.
