[NOT A BUG IGNORE ME] Spontaneous Designation Delete
« on: August 03, 2008, 03:39:54 pm »

Don't know if this is new or not, but...

I haven't looked around my entire base, but at least two of my farm plots and one of my stockpiles disappeared. I have no idea what caused it. The only things that happened around that time were a goblin ambush attacking a Human (killed one and the rest fled) and I begun channeling the surface area of the map away, two or three z-levels above where the deleted designations were.

I'll experiment with the channeling later.

I guess during the channeling there was a one square cave in that resulted in a tiny open space leading to the outside so now one of the farms that was indoors is now "outdoors". I don't think that typically leads to the farm being destroyed, does it? Regardless, I still haven't discovered why the farm and stockpile adjacent to it disappeared. Does being next to a cave in do that?

Sorry if this isn't actually a bug.  :-[

edit: nm I guess it's related to me channeling down into my own base like a dumbass. Don't drink and Dwarf folks.

Heh, you are correct. Something fell in. When something falls onto a "zone" structure (and any structure for that matter I think) it destroys the zone (or building).
