Seriously, the outpost liason apeared on my fortress missing his right foot.
It took him an entire season just to show up.

he seams to have spent the entire time falling unconcious before crawling two or so steps.

Yes, liasons are proper historical figures and not scripted spawns. They do travel the world and can get into trouble, and any scars they get carry forward. This is also why you see dwarves, humans, and elves with goblin sieges sometimes; they are the product of babysnatching.

I just got an elven ambassador that was missing a hand. He kept falling unconscious so it took him forever to get across the map to my fort. He'd spend a long time lying out there in one spot before briefly reviving, making a short sprint, then collapsing again. Quite amusing, really. Unfortunately he managed to sprint his way across my drawbridge both coming and going, otherwise I would have squashed him against my main doors. I'm trying to get a war going with them in this fort. Ah well, I'm sure he'll be back someday.

Because Liasons are proper hist figs, I always find mine have like, near maxed out stats. To the point where they're zipping across the map chasing my apathetic Broker as he drinks or sleeps or admires a fine door.

I once had a liason who showed up to my fortress without both legs and a hip.... he just barely got into my fortress and went crazy, then proceeded to get ripped apart by a pair of war dogs

Being a liason os no easy task, you have to be patient, you have to make stupid trade agreements, and you have to appeal to the better nature of the dwarf at the bridge controls...
Also, has anyone noticed that crap and carp are so close as to be the same? lolz
