[39e] Freeze while reviewing stocks

It is probably not a bug at all, but behavior which can be improved. I have about 7000 stones in my fortress, and when scrolling the "stocks" section and choosing the "stone" the game freezes for about 3-5 secs, and of course detailed info is empty (its ok that no one cares to count stone). Presumably, the game performs some recounting operations related to stone during this time, and each time I scroll this row it happens again. I think, this deals with some caching.

I've noticed the same. If you have a huge amount of one particular item, such as 1,000+, there's some delay in viewing that stocks catagory.

However this doesn't seem to apply as quickly to items that can stack, such as plants or ammunition. I think each stack counts as a single item, and if there's too many items it can take a while to load, so 1,000 round of ammunition would just be 40 stacks, whereas 1,000 rocks is 1,000 rocks.
