[39e] Dragons on fire and being rather stupid...
« on: August 05, 2008, 09:05:52 pm »

There seems to be a very old topic on this, but I've seen it twice now and I use the most recent version. I play plain vanilla fortress except for a tileset, and my brother uses it as is.

The first time was in one of my brother's fortresses - the dragon appeared, followed by a siege, which it helpfully started setting on fire, in the middle of the wilderness. It and the goblins disappeared under a huge cloud of smoke, and then the dragon emerged, on fire. It soon died.

The second time, it walked into my large smooth-sided lava trench and started swimming across the lava. About eight squares in it caught fire and died.

I believe the response to this was that Dragons are only immune to their OWN fire. As for the goblin part, I imagine he walked over a !! =Narrow Giant Cave Spider Silk Sock= !! and caught on fire.
