Magma pipe + town = hilarity

So i set up a map which was normal in every way, except that there was a magma pipe in every single region square. I played an elf adventurer (i wanted to check whether you could still recruit animalmen. Turns out their hostile to elves now) I tried to find the druid, but then i stater getting messages that he was wrestling fire imps. He did pretty good, killed two of them but then he charged at the last one and fell in the pipe.

Since he was the civ leader the othe elves started telling me there is no capital anymore.

Had a guard do a repeat performance at another elf retreat. Also fire imps ripping chunks out of kobolds at a kobold cave. Nice to see the imps pwning something for a change.  :D

How'd you do that? The magma pipe in the towns??

Well, right next to the towns in some cases. It's really just the law of averages, 100% volcanism, some of the magma pipes have to be near towns.
