[39c] Farmer cancels Plant Seeds spam
« on: July 23, 2008, 02:43:20 am »

When winter was upon me, almost all plump helmet spawn had been planted. And when there were only couple of spawns left (seen on <Z> -> "Kitchen"), my farmer had cancelled planting. All 19 times. And then 40 times more. And then I grew tired of him and made him a hauler.
He had only "Farming (fields)" allowed in labor list, so he might be constantly wanting to plant those somewhere existing seeds (I had no bookkeeper, so I don't know where exactly the seeds were). Either that, or each empty space on each plump helmet farm plot generated its own job, and every such job had to be cancelled specifically.

It should check the number of jobs created against the seed count -- where the remaining seeds accessible?

Well, they might be carried by someone or queued to carry, I don't know, I didn't find them. I had no bookkeeper so in "Stocks" I saw that I have "200?" some seeds somewhere. In "Kitchen" I saw that there are only 2 or 3 (I don't remember the number, but it was low, less than "10?") plump helmet spawns. They couldn't be in some inaccesible place (i.e. locked room) - I'm sure there weren't such places.

The problem imo is, after cancelling planting jobs for some reason (accesibility of the seeds or not), it created those jobs again and then cancelled them and then created again...

Maybe they were "inaccesible" because there was an inactive job to haul them to food stockpile (see this bug)?
