Both are explainable, but I'm not sure that this is what is happening in your case.

1) Cancels plant for need of seeds - sometimes this will happen when the seeds they are tasked to use are in a bag that someone has picked up to move somewhere.

2) Seeds stuck - that scenario just looks like those seeds are planted in that plot; how big is that particular plot, and how many spaces have been planted just in that plot?

1) I know, this isn't the case.
2) Those seeds are stuck and I get those messages enough to drop my fps 20-30 frames. Try making farms like that and you will see that its bugged. Farms middle square must be wall to recreate the bug.

Do you have a save, preferably early in the process of failure?  It would help to expedite the fix.  I'll need the region folder in some kind of zip/rar/7z, and any new objects that were added to the raw folder.  If it's less than 20 megs, you can send it to toadyone@bay12games.com.  You can also try The Dwarf Fortress File Depot which has a special section for bugged saves.
