[Lazer Bomb]

I played Lego Rock Raiders the classic way: with legos. No actualy rocks, though. And the crystals were made of plastic. Oh well.

Liked rock raiders, played it recently, as it is unfindable in any shop I just torrented it, hated the fact that I always ran out of crystals :s

Thing is, trolls like it when people say "omg troll kthxdie".  Ignoring them is actually the best way to deal.  Ignoring their trollishness AND turning something they started into a genuine discussion probably makes their heads explode or something.

Edit: furhermore, I can find no lego anteaters.  Damn your eyes.

On a related note, anyone else interested in the upcoming Lego MMOG? It'd be a complete mess to moderate, but the idea of a build-whatever Lego universe sounds great. It might finally be a MMOG worth playing.

This forum has the most amazing ability to just bulldoze through trolls and carry on.  Even spam posts can turn into interesting discussions.

I have noticed that, in fact.  I have been impressed at people's ability to carry on as if jreengus the troll never occured more than once.  You just can't comment on that, at least in the same place...

I find it's because of the very topic this board is about. When you have to deal with skeletal Elephants murdering children whilst Magma melts the flesh from the  invading Goblins, all whilst you have a productive member of your society murdering his room-mate to turn his face into a really, really nice pair of mittens that you just know won't fly with the incoming tree-fascists, the normally pathetic attempts at trolling just come off as one big '...meh'.

We DF players are made of sterner stuff.

Did that, but the game still launches minimzed on whatever mode i play it. Clicking th tab results in my desktop locking up and hearing the main menu background sounds but doing nothing untill i alt tab and get my mous back.

Using the most recent Nvidia drivers on a 8800GTS.

Ah, good old' LRR. I remember that game, and yes, it is very much like Dwarf Fortress in some ways.

It is close enough that I could see a LRR mod for DF... although there would be some major differences.

He comes from the Penny Arcade forum, I think. DF is kind of a "thing" over there. They have a rather lively topic on it and everything.

I find it odd that you direct that comment at me, considering I was merely replying to the suggestion that he was trolling.  The idea had occurred to me, true, but I was not the first to voice it.  And whether he is or not, my point remains valid- might as well just let a worthwhile coversation emerge from it.
