Training weapons

Training weapons:
*Made of wood in craftdwarf's workshop
*Does small amount of bludgeon damage
*Off duty dwarves will spar with them unless specified to keep their normal weapons, in which case they will not spar.

The resulting party killed 20 dwarves, crippled 2 more and the remaining 9 managed to get along and have a nice party.

This is one of the most frequently asked-for suggestions.

As a stopgap, try copper or "better" yet silver, preferably from a dabbling smith.

Takes a bunch of micromanagement to change weapons, though, so keep a squad on alert.
