What you need to do if make a tower that pumps water and mamga out into the sky at the same time making falling blocks of obsidian.

The water/magma would probably have to come out at different heights.

Multiple exits for the water/magma are needed, controlled by a series of levers. That way, on holy days/months/years, you can set all the levers to repeat and praise Armok whilst fire and ice spew out across the landscape in all sorts of directions. :)
