I instructed my dwarves to pit almost all of my animals (1700 or so) so that the animals would all land in a locked room. Since animals continued to be born outside of the pit while the pitting was still in progress, I tried to pit them, too. Everything went smoothly for a while, but I eventually started to receive the following spam:



The pitting eventually seemed to get completed. Needless to say, it froze the game up a bit, though.

That's impressive. I've only managed to get around 900 job cancellations from farmers running out of seeds before. But yeah, that's weird that they cancel their jobs because they're.. well, doing their jobs.

I ran into this once in v38c, but not as bad.  I think it may have been related to how I had them dump all the creatures while the animal trainer had a list of training tasks that he was working on.
