Interesting Histories of insignificant people

Ip Striker
In one 138 Ip was born to unremarkable parents in the young town of Astoasna (Desertflings), only to be kidnapped 7 years later by an equally unremarkable Goblin and brought to Hexbands.  For a brief while he was held prisoner, but then became climatized and released as a member of of The Cruelties of Chill.  In 150 he married a beautiful young Goblin and moved into The Castle of Menace as a farmer.  1 year later he was attacked by the giant Sas Greatermouths the Gleam of Matching but preveiled, only to be murdered 5 years later by some otherwise unrecorded foe after joining The Doctrines of Shell.  Strangely, through all of this he held his belief in Naspa, a diety of Pregnancy, Birth, Marriage, Oaths, and Loyalty; and Acath, diety of Fate and Boundaries.

This is my new "Home World", for no other reason than you have to pick one.  =->  I haven't even played the new version yet, I'm still engrossed in histories and cultures.

Wait a minute...

A human ex-slave married a she-goblin?

I hope that's true because it would be all levels of awesome. As long as they don't breed...

That's what I assumed until you meantioned it, and now I'm thinking what if the woman he married had been born there to slaves herself, they married as new tribe members and so on. What a crazy amazing game

Speaking of Stories; here's another:

I started a new fortress today named (naturally) Heavensgate.  It was chugging along fine and dandy and was pretty much garunteed an endless supply of Steel, so it was setting up to be pretty tough, when our outpost liason visited us for the first time.  Here's how I picture it:

A weak, grey, withered old dwarf, struggling to stand, much less walk appeared with the Trade Caravan today; apparently, he's the eldest son of the old Liason to this area and meant to fill her role.  Lor Laterntribe; I heard he took over only 8 years ago when his mother passed, which must have made her about 300 years old, by the look of this old timer.
Everything was going fine, a simple trade of booze for food, and I was about to have a meeting with the man right after I finished off one particular cavern.
"Okey, if...if I could just find a seat," he was winded and pale, not fit for his station, clearly.
"Sorry old-timer," I told him, "We haven't even made any seats for ourselves yet.  It'll just be a few more minutes." Which it was, and we ascended the stairs out of the farm caverns towards the mainhall.  Well...I ascended.
Poor Lor never got the chance.  At the feet of the stairs he grabbed at his chest, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed, dead.  His heart failed.
This was not good.  This would be looked at as a murder, for sure, so we had to get out of there, and before the Trade caravan had a chance to find out.  I went to the surface, flooded the chamber with the body in it, gathered everyone in the hall and then told them to head for Hode Slepon, "The Lake of Gristle" in the hopes we would not be followed...

In game terms the Liason that visited the fort DIED OF OLD AGE while there!  HAs this ever happened to anyone else?  Cause while I was playing I thought something had happened involving the stairs and falling, but the offical history is he died of old age but his society suspected my dwarves.

And more stories:
Nguslu Osmospngogngo Slolslag Bax (Nguslu Spiderymine
the Magical Scream of Nightmares"---
Nguslu was born in 585 at the Goblin citadel of
Bandsteals to mother Stozu Achedoomed and father Ozud
Weakenedpoisons, both of whom had come to be members
of the Band through a bizarre history of baby
snatching, rescue, invasion and re-naturalization.
Her mother died of old age but her father was
murdered, a fact that haunted her to her grave (as
you'll see).
At the tender age of 12 she married another
goblinized human name Kutsmob Seducepacked, but they
lasted only 5 years when Kutsmob was murdered.  It
was then that she gave up the Rangers life she had
shared with her husband and began snatching babies
for the Band.  From 602 to 640 she managed to snatch
28 babies from the surrounding human towns and Goblin
fortresses, murdering 6 fellow humans along the way
before being murdered herself.  In the meantime her
success was responsable for the countless human lines
that now inhabit the twisted coridors of Bandsteals.

Song Ngomzobo (Song Doomedblock)
Another born goblinized human, Song was born in
Muddymenace in 524, then snatched away by Nguslus'
tribe at Bandsteals, the North Spiders.  For the
first 6 years of his life he was imprisoned, then
made good his escape and returned to Muddymenance.
At 12 he was wed and, over the years, had three
children; a son and two daughters.
At the age of 14 he was inducted into the Black
Order, serving as a farmer for Muddymenace for 2
years until he became a guard.  He continued this
profession until, in 544 he moved to Liephantom and
took up his first love; farming.
His youngest, Ngom Runhate was born 4 years after,
and then was snatched by the Goblins of the Deceiver
of Defending.  The very same year she was rescued and
returned, only to be snatched once again by The Lucid
Thief tribe in 550.  There she sat for 2 years when
again she was abducted from THAT tribe by The Heroic
Doom tribe.  The demon the follow, Mudo Menacecurses
the Ungodly Oblivion, was sufficently powerful enough
to convince to stay with that tribe and Song never
saw her again.
During that time Song was scounting the area, even
managing to murder a fellow human in Liephantom at
the ripe old age of 92 before passing away on his
98th birthday.  Little did he know the whole time he
and his long lost daughter where worshipping the same
evil monster.
