DF Human incest - bug or intentional strange family trees?

Uhhh, I ran into these two humans on the old version last night... they were quite... special. After some strange logic games aiming at trying to identify the cause of the problem, it seems that several generations before play started someone started an incestuous relationship with their cousins/nieces?

Mmm. I ran into it in my pocket world. Suffice to say, civilizations consider species survival a higher priority. Though I've got to say, I never had it quite that bad.
