Injured dwarf not resting
« on: July 09, 2008, 07:40:14 pm »

I have an injured hunter with a broken arm and leg, who is currently Drowsy and Unhappy. She is "no job" despite the fact that she was dragged to a bed and is currently on it. I tried drafting and undrafting her, no go. She's still just sitting there and refusing to sleep... Any help?

Deconstruct the bed and rebuild it somewhere nearby. When she is dragged to bed again she should (hopefully) start to rest.

"Doctor Kogsak! The patient's vitals are plummeting!"
"Have you tried unbuilding and rebuilding the bed?"
"Yes! We've tried everything! We've done performed redundant bucket constructions, drafting and undrafting procedures, we've even done some exploratory make-everyone-only-do-healthcare!"

Awesome.

To the OP, if your dwarf is affected by the health care bug (dwarf passes out from pain, interrupting others' "feed/water" action, repeat until the poor dwarf finally starves/dehydrates amidst bounty), you may wish to try using Dwarf Companion to feed/water them instead. It's one of the only "cheat" utilities I use, since otherwise a dwarf with recoverable wounds would waste away. (It took poor Dastot Soshcog a year and a half to wither away with a mangled hand and a bum leg, both of which were nonfatal wounds...  :'()

I WOULD use dwarf companion... IF I could get it to work at all. The only thing I can get to work is the standalone utility, which is all but useless to me.
