Change orientation of workshops
« on: July 08, 2008, 11:16:34 am »

How about including the ability to change the orientation of workshops; most 3x3 workshops have several squares that are impassable, which can lead to difficulties in arranging them in relation to corridors and other rooms.

If at the time of building them it was possible to rotate them through 90 or 180 degrees, it would make workshop layout more flexible. It would also help if it was made clearer that some squares were impassable, as this seems to confuse many new players (including me) when their dwarves get blocked inside the workshops after building them.

Might be nice if a dwarf who was trapped, instead of being "idle", was "trapped". Maybe flashing white and the normal name color on the unit screen like dwarves on fire flash red and yellow.
