Trapper thinks he's Shadowcat [38c]
« on: June 19, 2008, 10:55:34 pm »

My vermin catcher accepts a 'catch live land animal' job and picks up an animal trap. Theres a booze stockpile on the other side of a wall with a rat in it. He 'sees' the rat and tries to go for it, but instead of pathing around the wall he tries to walk through it and paces around stupidly until i have my miners knock down the intervening wall (at least my dwarves have easier rum access now). This is a bug yes?

The wall was in an L shape.

I think if he was Shadowcat, he'd try to use his starboard PPC to blast the thing, taking half the fortress with it. :)

Or was it portside in the default setup?

And yes, I'm aware that it was about a different universe.

Aw damnit, got the battletech reference before me...
I feel ashamed.

Oh and I can't quite tell the difference between port and starboard but I can tell you it is the 'left' one.(from pilot's perspective)

Port is left if front is the direction the ship normally travels and "down" would be in the direction of artificial gravity (or in the case of multiple, then ships gravity at the helm, or however they orient the camera when you see the outside).

It's a holdover from the oceanic days of pirates and whatnot.
