So a giant bat ripped my leg off...
« on: July 04, 2008, 07:27:27 pm »

This is a first for me.  I've never lost a limb in a fight without dying seconds afterward, but as I'm playing 33g, I had comrades to clean up the baddies for me while I drifted in and out of consciousness.  I've been out for quite a while, and am only recovering for a split second at a time.  I'm literally blacking out the moment I wake up, without being able to do anything.  Is this ever going to clear up?

Well wounds are known to heal on tough characters within seconds. However, severing I have never seen healed outside of traveling, and even then it's only a reduction in pain.

I suppose it would eventually clear up. Mayhaps if you eventually get an action, try traveling.

And get your own leg to beat enemies with!

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Yeah, I'm not tough at all.  I think I was Strong and Extremely Agile, just my luck...

I've been like this for in-game days at least.  My companions are right by my side.  I think I'm going to die of thirst before I get an action.

Yepp, it's over.  Thirst got me.  Turns out after I passed out the giant bat and giant cave swallow that were on me kept attacking, ignoring my comrades, and they messed me up pretty badly.  My friends guarded me, killing five or six wandering monsters, and there were even messages of an elk that had wandered into the area above the cave.
