Just a praise

I think making "losing" be part of the game is a great thing, and maybe the beginning of the future of video games (games have no end, they are not winnable). Moreover, losing becomes a way to learn the mechanics of the world, like in the real world, so it becomes a useful information, instead of just being a great loss.
Well, games are like that since the beginning : you have 3 lives and learn from your mistakes... but games are frustrating so far.
Being able to visit your past failures is something that tempers this frustration. What would temper this frustration even more could be the possibility to act on the time. Losing means losing time and effort, it could be nice as much as possible to limitate the frustrations and add to the benefits of losing.
Just an idea.

Verily. Especially in adventure mode, lessons are hard earned.
