Do you want to use the same seed, just to see how cloaks influence history?

Oh god yes.

I've slowed down a little, trying to gen a cool world with a lot of desert and stuff. It keeps complaining of low elevations and shit.

Someone in IRC mentioned he managed to make a desert world. You should bug him for the proper gen files.

As for a bot request, I'm going to have to go with Thoughtbot the Philosopher. Or, if that's not available, engraver.

QUESTION!

Should I have robots continue using both solid and liquid fuel or switch to using only liquid fuel? I would still need water (ick) for damaged robots and they could supposedly run on nothing but water, albeit slowly. What do you think? I've also genned a nice wasteland world with rivers and stuff and found an appropriate host civilization, "The Yawning Strangulation".

I say switch to liquid fuel only. The idea of robots running only on liquid makes it kind of, well, robotic.

That wasteland world sounds pretty good, too. Go for it!

I like the idea of steam punk robots.

Hey, don't diss water.

It's excellent source of hydrogen. =D (And, technically speaking. A extremely fine ash left over from the times when the building blocks of the universe was on fire.. fire.. fire burn... everything burning.. so pretty.. - Seeing as it's oxidized material and a regular fire will not be able to excert enough energy to loosen the nucleoli bonding between the hydrogen/oxygen atoms(With a chunk of magnesium however...))

Do not argue against the sun. For it is a lot brighter than you are.

Okay, world has finally been genned. Two of them, to be precise. One has rivers, the other doesn't. Both are mostly desert. No elves at all. Robots dominate most of the second world, with a minor confederacy of human nations clumped together far in the south, possibly because the climate is a tiny bit less brutal there.

Two votes are called for here. Do we take rivers or without? Damaged robots will require water, for some reason, so it'd be more challenging without rivers. And what kind of terrain will we go for? Desert or mountain? If desert, what colour desert? We have all colours in both worlds.

Oh, and should we continue with this thread or make another one for the restarted fort? It might help with keeping track of stuff.

Whoops, I had to gen a new world thanks to 40d.

I'll relocate to a new thread, then.

40d doesn't break compatibility. The one after it does.

So it might be a good idea to lay off starting the fort until Toady updates.
