Making natural attacks ranged?

I'm trying to make a creature which is pretty much a wagon with a torso sticking out. His hands will have lazor cannons, which will have burn attack, but I don't know how to make it ranged. Can anyone help? Also, how to I make a threeish part body, consisting of front wagon-body, back-wagon body, and upper-body? Oh yeah, and a middlish body for the torso to attach to?

Although if the wagon bits get chopped off, how would it stand? Hrmm.

Well, the only option to make it "ranged attacker" is to assign a firebreath to it, which acts now like a heat gun.

Dragonfirebreath, too.

The bestest way to make a creature do ranged attacks is make it a cave-dwelling civ and make a ranged weapon and ranged ammo, specifically for that creature. Of course, there's the problem of it only occupying caves...

Can you ancounter the entity creature if it has BIOME and LARGE_ROAMING or LARGE_PREDATOR? Or should you find THEIR cave only?
