So, this is a utility I'd like for the current version: http://dwarf.lendemaindeveille.com/index.php/Utilities

But the download link at sendspace is shot and the two hex editor links for 33g http://dwarf.lendemaindeveille.com/index.php/Talk:Utilities#Lavasquare  http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/User:Rick#v0.27.169.33g
each yield different values for upgrading to 33g. They each say "untested" but the first one is based on Rick's who changed his due to it not working earlier.

hmm, how do I designate sections to have lava? Running now at least.

Use 'k' to look around, running the program will fill the selected tile with 7/7 lava.

If the lava is hanging in midair it requires something to activate the flow mechanics, like channeling out a nearby space or have another flow less than 7 nearby.

Placing a lava flow next to the edge of the map will often crash the game when unpaused.

Okay, it was windows vista run/cmd autoclosing issue, which I fixed.
