Zombie Rampage Mod Idea

I have a vauge concept for a Dwarf Fortress mod I'm toying with. The basic idea is this: zombies have taken over the world. The only civilization to play as is "the living" who, naturally, live in mountain fortresses. All other civs are "Zombie Hordes" that occupy dead towns. Wandering the wilderness are swarms of rouge zombies. One can play as either side in adventure mode.
The main difference in Dwarf mode is more, weaker invaders and fewer trade caravans and immigrants.
Comments? Any of that impossible so far?
What else does this need?
Finally, any of it compatible with the Gunpowder mod?

Cool idea, but what type of zombies would they be?  Fantasy zombies, or sci fi zombies?

Woah, I just tried modding this in, like 4 hours ago.  My main issue was that my zombies weren't aggressive and that they would run away from the guards.  Somehow the zombies need to be made to swarm the fort.

@Karlito: That happens to me all the time!

@kITTEH: I think these would be sci-fi zombies in fantasy, because traditional fantasy zombies tend to be stronger than the original creature, and I want this to be a wave of weak zombies, suitable to be sliced in writhing halves by a hero, or sliced to bits by Dwarven engineering.

You could give the zombies damblock-1 and slow speed.  And basically give them all the demon tags except nobones and noskull.  To get rid of trade id assume youd just make most civs hostile and remove trade from some.

[LIKES_FIGHTING] should help. Also, [EVIL] will make them corrupt the surrounding area, and [DEFAULT_SITE:RUIN] on the entity will make them 'build' ruins. You can adjust [MAX_SITE_POP_NUMBER] and [MAX_POP_NUMBER] to get more, but it will also increase lag too.
You could also add [LIKES_SITE:CITY] which will make them 'migrate' to human towns. That has extremely bizarre side effects though, so you may or may not want to actually do it.

This seems similar to an idea I was having. Make a race of Bruce Campbells, give 'em a chainsaw and a shotgun instead of hands, and put them in the middle of a zombie horde. Fun ensues. Anyway, this idea does indeed sound interesting. Twentiethed, or whatever number we're at now.

I had several types of zombies.  One was a feral zombie that roams the map in packs of 10-20 and has a ridiculously high population number.  Then I had "ghouls" which are the standard goblin replacement.  The problem is that its not possible to get wild animals to be hostile to your dwarves.  Yes I had all the standard aggression tags on them.
