Wow!  These models are soo much better!  Somewhat hideous at times, but that'll serve nicely when I make the H.P. Lovecraft universe!    ;)

The most disgusting things about those body part piles is that even the most deformed one could still manage to shuffle around on its misshapen appendages...  very nasty.

Yes, but that can work to our advantage when we create a universe of horror and madness!  So, are all the models smothe like human heads, or are the rest still big blocks?

Each of the 19 models making up the human body are "smooth", at least in the sense that they have more vertices than a cube.  The head is the smoothest (52 vertices and 101 triangles), followed by the upper body and lower body...  but the arms aren't all that bad.  The feet and hands could use some more work.

Random creatures are still blocky I think, but they'll probably be disabled until the release after this one, when I put them into ecosystems.

The legs are too long and it looks like he's wearing bell-bottoms!  Other than that- better than Everquest/WWII online.  Maybe you should buy some art books to get the golden ratios down.  How are you going to make the random creatures? what do ecosystems have to do with it?

So, it individual color variation on or off?  Just for player?  An option?

Hippie trash!  I'll have to move those calf muscles up higher.

For ecosystems I'll need to generate lots of random creatures to populate the world.  Stock creatures won't be sufficient in most universes.  There just won't be enough different types.  I haven't quite decided how to use the new models with the randomly generated beasts.  Right now, the motifs just have models set up for each body part and they use those.  Even though the human head can be distorted into most mammalian shapes, in the end I might need more flexibility.  I've already added enough for this version, so I'm putting it off until the next one, where ecosystems will force me to deal with the problem.

Individual variation has been both on and
off for these screen shots.  I'll make it an option prior to release.
