Don't think so, but in the future Toady will let adventurers do everything you can do in dwarf mode.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

I for one look forward to having an adventurer set up camp in an abandoned fortress and begin smithing his own steel gear.

And it will be SO much easier to kill off the other dwarves for hermit mode.

I'm personally looking forward to being able to make my own home as an adventurer.

It would be cool if, couple of things would eventually be like in "UnrealWorld." Haven't tried it in years... It quite like adventure mode with all Dwarven skills...
In winter you would need to make camp in cave or build a house to survive in the wilds or just chop down trees to make fire and stay warm that way... Hopefully same thing is coming to DF...

I recommend UnrealWorld. It costs moneys, though.

Semi related. Can we use levers (or anything) in adv mode? There's an interact command but I've found no use for it yet.

Interact works for levers. I found no other use for it yet.

By the way, why do I get no traps in adventure mode, even though I have turned the respective option on in the init?

(I)nteract can be used for pulling out weapons that are lodged in you, or if you grab another creature by a lodged weapon you can try to gain possession.
