Is there a way to jump off of a cliff in adventure mode?

In fact, you can fall off a cliff, but you can't jump over, say, a 3 tiles wide chasm.
You'll end up at the bottom of the cliff, so be careful : you'll be stunned if you fall one level, injured if you fall more.

At the top of the cliff, keep Alt down and then walk into the open space.
And then enjoy.
As long as you can.
