I don't know if we can post our tales and what not in this forum, but what the heck. I been playing this character for about a hour and a half just wondering around doing tasks and exploring the wilds. I came across a small town with a very small population, my goal was to find a food stand or some thing. But what I found was a fellow warrior. I recruited this lone hammer dwarf to come with me. Me and this hammer dwarf went on many great and exciting adventures together... fighting the undead, killing giants and beasts and what not. Until we got a mission to kill a mace lord in a nearby castle. We got a drink from the local river and headed out on our 1 and a half day journey. We arrived to see a large structure appearing before us. Just as we were about to enter the castle a bolt skims right past me and into my mate. The hammer dwarf fell to the ground stunned by the bolt. I took cover behind a tree as the goblins moved in on my mate. I took my mace and charged the small group of goblins. I manged to hit the shooter hard in the shoulder sending him hard against the building. While he was stunned I managed to send the other two to the ground. Not long after this reinforcements arrived. Wave after wave after wave they came. I managed to fend them off long enough for the hammer dwarf to get back up, just to fall back down. I was soon overwhelmed, a axeman charged me knocking me to the ground. I struggled trying to swing my mace at him but I had two goblin children trying to disarm me. Then the axe hit me, right in the neck decapitating me.

Death is always a part of a player's life, especially in DF.  And yeah, it's fine to post stories here, though it wasn't on par with some of the stories people have written here.  But hey, nobody starts out with Legendary Writing, right?  :p

I don't play adventure mode, but I like reading the stories.  So, post away!

I always like stories from DF.   no matter long or short, I like them   Especially when they are backed up by a picture, like in this case.
