Stone Age weapons and tools.
« on: November 18, 2024, 02:55:24 am »

Hello folks,

Another stupid question.  Been reading A Stonehenge People by Rodney Castleden and want to try out a non-metal stone age Steam game.  But while I found a Mod for Stone Weapons, called Primitive Tools, I can't find out how to put in Stone Tools.  The weapons are covered by the Mod but I don't know if it covers picks.  Antler picks would be cool!

With pre-Steam versions there were ways to add stone as workable material.  Not just stone swords made from obsidian.

I am not sure I can do the same with the Steam version.

Also the book talks about stone beds.  I assume they mean stone platforms to keep the beds off the floor but there is also a Mod for stone beds.  So why not?

Edit : Tested it in a new world.  None of the stone weapons are available at embark and no stone or non-metal picks.  :P

The [CAN_STONE] weapon token means that the "make rock (weapon)" task is doable. But yeah, the game doesn't really know how to add stone weapons to the embark/trade civ setup. Best case scenario is adding fake metals that are named rock but the civ has bars of.
