Apparently fire breathing attacks can't go through fortifications. So I've wasted several hours building "flame-throwing bunkers" meant for incinerating gobbos/elves. Oh well.

Apart from web-shooters, does anyone have any experience in utilizing FBs that have other types of ranged attacks? Are webs the only type that can pass through fortifications?

Do the fortifications actually block the fire breath attacks, or do the creatures in question just decide to not perform fire-breathing attacks while standing behind fortifications?

It blocks the attack. The FB sees the gobbo on the other side, tries to flame but instead sets fire to the cavern fungus on its side of the fortification.

I tried replacing fortification with statues and the flame breath goes through, but I'm guessing this only works because building destroyers are kinda bugged right now, otherwise it'd be knocking them down and running loose.
