It was interesting, on the other hand I spent most of the game functionally dead.


In other news- 500 internal server error.

Out of genuine curiosity, would it have been more fun for you if I had just had that attack kill your character and letting you make a new one on instead of leaving you with a barely functional one?

Each person's different and there are some who enjoy playing through that kind of situation, but it also often helps if there's known mechanics to help the player understand why it isn't hopeless (if it isn't).  Like, "Ahah, the sword will heal me if I hold onto it, I'll be fine in 4 rounds... except drat I just referred to it without the full name, now I am toast".  Or whatever.
