World War: Occupation Of Lebanon and Soviet Leader DeadFollowing months of setbacks during the Third World War including the loss of several allies to enemy occupation or sponsored coups, the United States and their allies have scored a series of victories in the conflict. With U.S. and British aid, the State of Israel has invaded and militarily occupied Lebanon in only the course of one hour which has finally awarded us some leadership effectiveness which was stuck at 0% despite successes in covert operations. Only 10% but that's all we need for covert operations to make a difference and for surgical strikes to have a chance of success. However it didn't take long for this to happen.
On the evening of May 6th, 1997, Soviet Chairman Gennady Yanayev was assassinated by Jim Phelps and Ethan Hunt of the IMF. No not the International Monetary Fund but the Impossible Mission Force a top secret agency often employed by the U.S. government to take on missions deemed far too risky to take by traditional intelligence groups such as the CIA. It doesn't get more difficult then getting someone into the Kremlin. CNN quickly learned our role in the assassination and, because the existence of the IMF must be kept top secret, the CIA has taken full credit. In the aftermath of Yanayev's assassination, the KGB and the military have now assumed direct control over the Soviet government with neither ambition nor ethics improving and both sides of vowed to continue the war until total victory could be achieved. Regardless this latest success has resulted in a popularity boost which was pretty poor only last week. After all, the man who overthrew Gorbachev back in '91 and broke the nuclear taboo by ordering a nuke strike against the U.S. in '96, is now HISTORY and justice has been served.
