Can Wheel Barrels Be Used At A Dump Zone?

I would like to use Wheel Barrels to carry items to a dump zone. Can it be done?

Not directly, but if you place a stockpile with a wheelbarrow near to the dump zone, then you can check your stockpile occasionally and manually mass dump what you see there (this is how I handle corpses, since many are heavy).

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

I set up a corpse stockpile next to my dump zone (a hole in the ground into the caverns, where I installed a drawbridge for atom-smashing). I linked the stockpile to a minecart, so dwarves will bring stuff there and auto-load the cart, which auto-dumps everything into the hole. As long as what you're dumping can be transported to the stockpile in a wheelbarrow, that would work.

I also put a dump zone on the hole so the dwarves will dump things designated the traditional way in addition to the set-and-forget stockpile for corpses.
