Remove Noble Status with dfhack?

I'm getting too many nobles appointed in my by now 100 dwarf fort. I have 8-10 Barons and one count already without even promoting anything myself and they are getting more and more.
Just wanted to know if there is a way to remove the nobility status from a dwarf, making them a normal dirty peasant again, maybe with dfhack. I don't want to kill them because some have a grandmaster skill in important professions.

Pretty sure that would just cause a new noble to be appointed, possibly the same dwarf.

Is there a downside to the nobles? IIRC, they shouldn't be creating mandates if they hold a title outside the fort, unless that wasn't properly fixed (#9179, #9261.)

I think they lose noble status when they die, then you can just revive them again with dfhack. IIRC the command was full-heal -r.
